my story
Hello and welcome to Ron Quick Photography! I'm a Lincoln, Nebraska photographer who relentlessly pursues urban scenes that feature strong elements of architecture mostly in black/white with a heavy presence of night scenes. Photography for me has three main elements: the adventure of shooting & exploring, anticipation in seeing & editing my recent photos, and the reaction of others viewing and commenting about the images. Hopefully, my portfolio will create a smile of wonder or at the very least appreciation for what can be captured through the lens. In viewing my images I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Ron's photo's have been published in "Focus on Nebraska" at Barnes and Noble. Exhibited at the Nebraska governors mansion, First Friday Art walks in Lincoln and Omaha as well as the Fred Simon Gallery. In 2016 & 2017 Ron was awarded three honorable mentions by the IPA International Photography Awards. In 2017 the Monochrome Awards an international black and white photography contest awarded Ron four honorable mentions. In addition, Ron received two honorable mentions in 2017 from PX3 Prix De La Photographie Paris. Five images nominated and a 1st place outstanding achievement award in Amateur/Architecture in the 12th annual Black & White Spider Awards.
